Dongfeng Aeolus L7 2025 Intelligent Electric Launch

On April 13, Dongfeng Aeolus launched the 2025 Aeolus L7 PHEV SUV in Wuhan. With a pure electric range exceeding 205 km, it leads the peer models. Verified by CATARC (China Automotive Technology & Research Center), the vehicle achieved an impressive 354.5 km pure electric range and a combined range of 2,239.6 km.

On April 13, Dongfeng Aeolus held the “AI Meets Ultra-Long Range” launch event in Wuhan, officially unveiling the Aeolus L7 2025 PHEV SUV. With a pure electric range exceeding 205 km, it stands out as a top performer in its class.

Prior to its launch, supervised by the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC), the Aeolus L7 PHEV underwent a rigorous range test around Hainan Island. The results were impressive: a verified pure electric range of 354.5 km (172.9% of the claimed range) and a total range of 2,239.6 km (149.3% of the claimed range), completing 3.5 circuits around Hainan on a single charge and tank of fuel.

Technologically, the Aeolus L7 2025 features a 30.3 kWh battery paired with a 55L fuel tank for high efficiency. Its Maher 1.5T hybrid engine boasts a leading 45.18% thermal efficiency. The world’s first 4-speed DHT integrated with E-CVT, coupled with the i-Control intelligent electric control system, balances power and smoothness.

The upgraded model also comes with the intelligent i-Talk cockpit for seamless voice interaction, a 14.6-inch HD touchscreen paired with high-fidelity audio for great entertainment. Equipped with the 360-Box ADAS with 28 functions and a 1200Mpa military-grade battery protection, it ensures all-round safety.
