In a tightly contested battle that came down to the final singles match, Ohio State freshman Nao Nishino defeated Michigan freshman Emily Sartz-Lunde in three sets, securing a 4-3 victory for the second-seeded Buckeyes over the top-seeded Wolverines in the Big Ten Tournament final.

Sydni Ratliff, Teah Chavez, and Luciana Perry also earned key singles victories for the Buckeyes after Michigan had taken an early lead by winning the doubles point.
